Nana Kofi Acquah is a Ghanaian journalist, photographer, poet, and painter. He is known for championing women’s rights in Africa through his photographs and writing.
Over the past 3 years, a lot of Nana’s work has been focused on Climate Change, with special interest in its impact on rural African farming families across sub-Saharan Africa.
He was jury for the World Press Photo Contest 2019 and a recipient of the Tim Hetherington Foundation and World Press Photo Fellowship for his work.
In 2016, Nana was named by Shutterstock as one the top 100 photographers in the world to follow on social media.
He is known on Instagram as @Africashowboy, and is a member of the group @EverydayAfrica.
He lives in Accra with the love of his life, Gloria, their three children and two boerbulls.
